Adrift
Adrift was El Moudja’s response to Algeria’s “dark decade” of terrorism (1992-2000). This play was devoid of words, relying on gesture, movement and vocal cries to convey the inexplicable violence that was tearing Algeria apart. The play centers on a being born of a violent rape who sets out to redress his father’s crime against his mother.
